Aine McCarthy, DVM
DIME Inspiration Consultant

Starting in first grade sewing doll clothes by hand, Aine grew up as a garment sewer - learning from her mom and using the sewing machine as soon as she was big enough to reach the pedals. She learned home decor sewing and made curtains, drapes, cushions and bedding for every home she lived in.

She discovered the world of machine embroidery and applique 20 years ago and enjoys the world of creating, editing and digitizing designs. Retiring from veterinary medicine, she teaches sewing classes and works part-time for her favorite sewing center.

Diana Mullins-Atkinson
DIME Inspiration Consultant

Diana Mullins-Atkinson began sewing at the age of seven, when her grandmother introduced her to quilting. Her mother continued by teaching her garment construction, skills she put to use designing her own clothes and designing costumes for her high school drama department and later in larger productions.

After making hand-knit lace for her custom-designed heirloom-style bridal veils for 12 years, Mullins-Atkinson learned she could design and make her lace with an embroidery machine. A real game changer!

Having taught quilting and machine embroidery for years, needle arts have become a true passion. Formerly a full-time professor Biolinguistics, Dianna currently works with with graduate students as their degree advisor.

Lisa Knight
DIME Inspiration Consultant

Lisa Knight is from Silver Spring, Maryland and has lived all over the United States and also in Europe. She currently lives in Las Vegas, Nevada with her husband of over 30 years and her fur baby, Banksy.

Lisa has been sewing since she was six years old and her mom was very creative and spent a lot of times doing things with her hands - be it sewing, painting or ceramics. Lisa learned how to sew clothes for her dolls and then progressed to making clothes for herself and others. Over the years she has increased her knowledge in many aspects of sewing and has been machine embroidering for over 10 years. Her favorite projects are clothing embellishments, home decor and in-the-hoop projects. She also dabbles in quilting and enjoys spending time with her children and grandbaby.

Tammy Madden
DIME Inspiration Consultant

Tammy Madden was introduced to quilting at a young age from her grandmother. Watching a quilt come together into something you can see and touch continues to intrigue Tammy.

Ten years ago, Tammy decided to buy a new sewing machine and walked out with an embroidery machine. This new journey unleashed a love for everything embroidery. Today, she’s learned to incorporate quilting into embroidery. When not attending to her three children’s needs, you will find her trying to turn a sewing pattern into a in the hoop embroidery design.
